Installing the Plugin

API Press can be installed like any other WordPress plugin. Follow the steps below to get started.

Install from the WordPress Plugin Directory

The free version of API Press is available on WordPress.org = WordPress API Plugin.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New.
  3. In the search box, type API Press.
  4. Find the plugin in the results and click Install Now.
  5. Once installed, click Activate.

You’ll now see an API Press menu item in your WordPress dashboard.

Install by Uploading the Plugin

If you’ve downloaded API Press manually from WordPress.org or purchased the PRO plugin, you can install it by uploading the ZIP file.

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New.
  3. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
  4. Select the .zip file you downloaded.
  5. Click Install Now, then Activate.

For PRO users, make sure you have installed both the free plugin and the PRO plugin.
The PRO version acts as an add-on to the free plugin.

Confirm the Installation

Once the plugin is activated:

  • A new API Press menu item will appear in the left-hand admin menu.
  • Click it to access the plugin settings and begin creating your first API connection.
